We're In Ireland!

We arrived super tired (got up at 4 a.m.) and pretty starved. Then we picked up our rental car and white-knuckled it driving on the left side of the road. I'm telling you - it was dicey at times. We are so hard-wired now in our driving habits... but Husband aka Safety Dad prevailed! We are alive!

Breakfast at a roadside mart improved our spirits immensely and we were off to explore the Irish countryside. First stop, Trim, Ireland to look at some castle ruins from the 1100s. They filmed Braveheart here too - way cool and a beautiful day for the usually misty/rainy Dublin area. Sweet.

Thank you Edith for your informative blog! You take lovely photos BTW. I somehow found you while I was googling, as we are moving w/the military from Germany to SHAPE. I had a moment of panic the other day when I realized that I am moving to a foreign country (my mom was German, so don't consider Germany foreign).

Anyway, I took some notes and trying to stay positive...we're coming with two pre-teen boys, a German shepherd and a kitty...oh, and a Honda Odyssey too (woe is me after reading about the roads!).

Thanks for sharing and hope to see you around:-))
