We've Been Busy Busy Busy

Last Wednesday, Husband and I drove up to Charleston and shipped our mini-van overseas. We rode back on the motorcycle in frigid weather. I froze my ass off even though I was wearing long johns, turtle neck, jeans, snow pants, two coats, gloves. BRRRRR. It reminded me of what type of weather we are moving into. I need some sweaters!!! The van should arrive around the time we do... mid-January.

On Friday, the movers came for Moving Batch 1 of 3: Unaccompanied Baggage... otherwise known as the-absolute-bare-necessities-that-we-will-live-off-of in Belgium until all of our household furniture shows up in March. This was pretty stressful for me - planning to have enough bedding and dishes here in Savannah to get me through the holidays but enough to make it in Belgium for awhile. So the movers took off with a tv, our computer, many of my kitchen things, a ton of bedding and blankets, school and office supplies and my bicycle. There was a lot of other CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT/VERY IMPORTANT thingie majiggies in that moving load but I've already "out of sight, out of mind" -ed it.

This week I am really looking forward to a visit from my best grade-school chum and neighbor-growing-up... Heather. I think I've known her since I was 4 or 5 years old. She arrives on Thursday for five days. Big fun!

On Saturday E-DUDE COMES HOME! We are all looking forward to his big personality and sense of humor. P-Diddle, especially, really missed his big brother and has been bouncing off the walls in anticipation.

All this excitement after months of nothingness and boredom (until Husband got back from deployment in July) I think I may swoon or explode or something.

Nothing else moving related until after Christmas so I'm going to relax and enjoy my kidlets, husband, friends and in-laws for now and let my head spin off after the the holidays.

I'm sitting here realizing how much I really do miss you. I know, stupid.

I miss Erik's big personality. I miss Patrick's ADHD! And Wren and I both miss Carol and those funny faces she makes and how sweet she can be!!

You had me crying when you talked about how much Erik was missed by Patrick.

You, Thom, and your whole family need to know how much of an impact you had on ours. We love you!!!
