From My-Army-Guy on October 16th

I just got back from Division where we had an interview with one of our battalion commanders. He'll be on WTOC tonight (I think that's ABC?).

I've been out running around all day. We had a Reuters photographer with us and this thing tonight, plus a bunch of little things like take a picture of this, and talk to the CSM about that, and blah blah blah. The leadership here absolutely loves me, by the way. They are going to love me even more over the next couple of months because our brigade is going to have big stories in the next two editions of Army Aviation Magazine.

The other day I was waiting for a bunch of crap to go down so I googled Bigfoot. Do you know how many times that big hairy dude was seen around Indianola? And on Bainbridge? Who knew!? So I regaled Smith with tales from the personal accounts emailed in to this website. She being a good Christian girl thinks that all of that nonsense is just a silly waste of time. Next thing you know I'll be saying I think we evolved from apes!

The funniest ones were the ones in Alaska. They all started like this: "My friends and I were sitting around bored so we decided to go walking in the woods..." Usually at 2am.

Oops, gotta go to a meeting.
