My Man

Yes, My-Army-Guy's here for 18 days and damn are we glad to see him!.

He flew into Savannah after a long and tiring trip from Iraq on Tuesday. I was expecting him around 5:30 pm. He actually got to Atlanta quite a bit earlier than expected.
Not that I'm complaining... don't get me wrong.
I don't know if you know this but I've gotten to be quite the procrastinator. I had put off getting ready for my man for the few hours before he got here... cleaning, vacuuming dog hair, shower, picking my outfit, getting the kids together, deodorized and groomed.
Well, My-Army-Guy called me from Atlanta and gave me his new itinerary (1:00 afternoon arrival) and I just about s*#t my pants. Not only did I have to get myself together but I had to pick the kids up at their schools, spit shine their faces and drive the 30 minutes to the airport ALL IN ONE HOUR. Needless to say, I showed up at the airport all sweaty (because the AC broke in the van again), dumpy and frazzled. Luckily, My-Army-Guy seemed glad to see me anyway.

We all piled in our hot van and went to Hooters (My-Army-Guy's ABSOLUTELY FAVORITE restaurant in the whole world - I wonder why?).
Oh yeh, I forgot to mention that within 60 seconds of seeing My-Army-Guy after 4 months I asked him if we could get another vehicle because I was sick, hot and tired of my Chrysler. He laughed.
Long story short. This is a picture of My-Army-Guy standing in front of our new 2007 Honda Odyssey. I guess he really does love me.

Love the van! :) Of course why wouldn't I? I know Wren is ecstatic that Miss Edith has "a van the same as ours only hers is grey. Mama why didn't you get a grey one?"
